The IPPC Certificate

Palettenwerk holds an IPPC certificate awarded by the Wood Technology Institute in Poznań. The certificate confirms the fact that the technical and organisational conditions in Palettenwerk ensure that the process of producing wooden packing, particularly pallets, is compatible with phytosanitary requirements valid in the European Union. The implemented technology guarantees manufacturing products free from bark (DB). Devices and processes allow for drying wooden elements up to 20% humidity (KD) in such a way that the core of elements dried in the chamber is treated at a temperature of at least 56°C for at least 30 minutes; this is equivalent to phytosanitary heat treatment (HT).

Palettenwerk has closed drying kilns, where 70 thousand pallets may be heat-treated every week.
